Plain-language summary of what SHIFT keeps and why. Last updated October 24, 2026.
SHIFT is made by Midgard X, Kelowna, BC, Canada. Questions: info@midgardx.ca.
What we keep
- League information: schedules, scores, standings, team names, rosters and stats posted by the league. These are shown publicly in the app, the same way leagues post them on their own websites.
- What you enter: your name, the role you sign in as, your email or phone if you give it, attendance ("I'm in / I'm out"), your profile and card photo, and anything you post on a league wall or in team chat.
- Registration answers: the league's sign-up form (for example emergency contact, date of birth, waiver). Only that league's administrators can see them.
- Drop-in and payment details: name and email for sign-ups and receipts. Card payments are handled by Stripe; SHIFT never sees or stores card numbers.
- Officials' payroll: names, contact details and pay records, visible only to league administrators.
- Reports: if you report a post or message, the league sees the report and who sent it.
- On your device only: photos and songs you add to the scoreboard, and the people you block, stay on that phone or computer.
Camera, microphone and notifications
The app asks before using the camera (game and card photos), the microphone (speaking a SHIFT Radio update) or sending notifications (game reminders). You can turn any of these off in your phone's settings.
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
- We don't put advertising trackers in the app, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Where it's stored
League data is stored with Netlify, our hosting provider. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Young players
The youth version of SHIFT has no payments, no fantasy, no prizes, no league wall and no public posting. Parents and team reps look after youth teams. Leagues with players under 18 should only post what a parent or guardian has agreed to, and can ask us to remove any player's information.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to My profile and tap Delete my account. That removes your profile, card photo, posts, chat messages and fantasy picks straight away, and asks the league to erase your registration and contact details. You can also ask us by email. Payment records the league must keep by law are kept by the league.
Your choices
To see, correct or remove your information, ask your league administrator or email info@midgardx.ca. We answer within 30 days.
