Players & parents
Everything a player needs: your team, your games, your payments and your stats.
1 · Join your team
- Open SHIFT, pick your sport and sign in as a Player.
- Pick your league. You'll see the leagues near you first.
- Your team rep adds you to the roster, or sends you an invite link. Once you're on the roster, your team shows at the top of Home.
2 · Pay what you owe
Open Payments from Home. Everything is paid by card, and you get a receipt.
- SHIFT membership: $4.99 a year.
- Player insurance: $28.50, due December 20. If you've played more than 3 games, it has to be paid before you can check in to another game.
- Player registration (players signing up on their own): $786 in total, a $200 deposit and then three payments.
3 · Check in to games
- On Home, your next game is at the top. Right under it is Are you in?
- Tap ✓ I'm in or ✗ Can't make it so your team rep knows who's coming.
- The full season is on the Schedule tab, with times and rinks.
4 · Your stats and player card
- The Stats tab shows standings and the top 30 players, with Show more for everyone else.
- Tap any player's name to pop up their player card. Tap the card to flip it over and see their stats.
- If you play on more than one team, your stats add up across teams, with each team listed underneath.
- World stats compares you with players everywhere, year by year.
5 · More things you can do
- Live: watch the scoreboard and video of games as they happen.
- Chat groups and the League wall: talk with your team and your league.
- Drop-in: see the drop-in calendar and sign up for open ice.
- Notifications: you're told when a game time, rink or result changes.
Kids and parents
Kids leagues are kept separate from adult leagues. A child's player profile can only be seen by the child, their parents, their team rep and the kids league administrator. Anyone else needs permission from the league.
